From humble beginnings by a few car enthusiasts back in 1988, a Car Show was hosted in Lions Park with just 17 classic cars & how our Club has since grown & diversified!
Keeping the Spirit of Motoring Alive
The Noosa Beach Classic Car Club (NBCC) was established in 1988 by a small group of local enthusiasts who shared a passion for classic vehicles, friendship and community.
What began with just 17 vehicles has grown into one of Queensland's most respected motoring clubs, bringing together members who share an appreciation for the history, engineering and enjoyment of motor vehicles across all eras. From veteran and vintage cars through to modern classics, performance vehicles and special-interest motoring, the Club celebrates the diversity of automotive culture while preserving the traditions that have shaped it.
Today, the Club is recognised not only for its members and vehicles, but for creating events that have become part of the social and cultural fabric of the Noosa region.
A Club Built on Community
The Noosa Beach Classic Car Club has always been about more than cars.
For more than three decades, members have come together to share knowledge, stories and experiences while supporting one another through a common passion. The Club's culture has been built on camaraderie, volunteering and inclusion, creating an environment where lifelong friendships are formed and new members are welcomed.
This community spirit remains central to everything the Club does today. Regular social events, club runs, Cars & Caffeine gatherings, Cruise & Dine outings and special-interest activities provide opportunities for members to enjoy their vehicles and connect with fellow enthusiasts throughout the year.
The Noosa Hillclimb
The Noosa Hillclimb is the Club's most recognised event and one of Australia's premier grassroots motorsport competitions.
First held in 1998, the event transformed a winding stretch of road in the Noosa hinterland into a unique motorsport venue that now attracts competitors and spectators from across Australia. What began as an ambitious vision by Club members has grown into a nationally recognised event showcasing everything from vintage sporting machinery and historic race cars through to modern competition vehicles.
Held twice each year through the Winter and Summer Challenges, the Noosa Hillclimb is renowned for its welcoming atmosphere, strong volunteer culture and close connection between competitors, officials and spectators. The event reflects the Club's belief that motorsport should be accessible, community-focused and enjoyable for participants of all backgrounds.
Over the years, the Hillclimb has become an important contributor to the local economy, supporting tourism, local businesses and community organisations while showcasing the beauty of the Noosa hinterland to thousands of visitors.
